Cash and Carried in the City

We had a pretty good weekend with good weather...or at least what can be expected of the Fall. We really needed to get out and heard that the Serpentine Annual Pavilion was being taken down so we had one last chance to see it. They had some Poetry Marathon Event, so it was filled with all sorts relaxing on large pillows and sitting in an audience listening to the poets. Not really sure why you would pay the price they were asking as we could hear the guests just fine....and poetry isn't really my kinda thing. Anyway, it was good to get a glimpse of the trees starting to change all sorts of reds and yellows. Funny enough we never made it further west of the Serpentine Gallery and decided to keep walking and talking. We stopped by the Albert Memorial across from the Royal Albert Hall and headed up towards Notting Hill. Being a Sunday, Portobello Road wasn't as packed as usual and the little spice shop where I've found 'real' tortillas was open...which is why we went. Unfortunately they were out and we couldn't be bothered (english phrasing) to walk around looking for the 'factory'.

Fall is in the Air....

I believe that if we don't get out at least every other weekend to do something we're going to go crazy in this winter/fall wonderland. With the sun setting at 5:30 and rising at 7:30 it seems to be long days (only to get longer!) that can easily be spent on the couch bundled up in a blanket! Can't wait to get to that Texas Winter though....
