Well it's been too long since our last post and we've been up to quite a bit, but nothing too terribly exciting. We headed to Battersea Park this year to have a look at the whole Guy Fawkes Bonfire & Fireworks display. We learned that the British have no concept of how to setup BBQ pitches for food booths, nor do they know what a big bonfire is, but they do know how to put on a fireworks display. It was a cold night and we had a good time enjoying it with my co-worker Marcela & her husband Nuno.
Matt is getting in the swing of his new job and i am finishing up a project that seems to have gone really well. Like most things it seems that there is always something left to do and I harp on the contractors constantly to double check it is all getting done. It's hard to convey the actual work that has gone into it as it is an occupied building and you never get those 'photo'-unrealistic pictures of the final result. Here are a couple though to give you a taste...
I'll have to grab some more from my work files it seems.
Anyway, this week is Thanksgiving and its kills us that we can't be closer to family and friends to celebrate. We usually have planned a trip away to celebrate and do something different but with Matt's new job and us spending our 'allowance' on traveling this year already we figured we could set this one out. Good thing is that we're heading back home on the 16th so time will fly by quickly and we'll be comfy on a plane soon! But in our absence from the festivities it makes us that much more thankful for the people that we do have in our lives. Have an extra slice of turkey and spoonful of stuffing for us!
